FTE C/D Coordination Conferences

At the coordination conference FTE D Freight Traffic in Ljubljana 110 participants took part. The planners of 58 delegations from 24 countries advised on the preliminary path offers for the timetable 2017. Great influence on the offers next year have construction and maintenance work of the Infrastructure Manager. Suitable alternatives for the customers must be worked out in the coming weeks.

Plenary Meeting

Farewell to Kerstin Spenner and Sonja Takac-O'Carroll

Simultaneously the conference FTE C Passenger Traffic took place in the garden hall of the Grand Hotel Union which included the following activities:

  • Fine-tuning of the deployment of coaches/wagons EWP
  • Validation of the Draft Timetable (Path Offer) and phrasing of observations
  • Preparation and harmonisation of «Late Path Requests»
  • Consultation of measures regarding construction works with international impact

Our colleague Maté Bak from RNE supported the participants of both conferences with the use of PCS on site.

The FTE Plenary Assembly decided two years ago, from 2017 the official language is English. As a consequence, the FTE will stop providing interpreting services from next year. Therefore we formally had to say goodbye to Kerstin Spenner and Sonja Takac O’Carroll.

The colleagues have contributed with their tireless, professional use, to the success of the meetings, and they were always a great support in the FTE team.

With their pleasant manner they have built cultural bridges and improved the ambience during difficult negotiations.

On behalf of the FTE Team, the Executive Board, the members and all of the participants we would like to thank Kerstin and Sonja for the longstanding work and support. Wishing them and their families all the best for the future.
