Thank You Peter Jäggy for 24 Years of Dedication and hard Work

Peter Jäggy has decided for health reasons to look for a new professional challenge within SBB and to leave the FTE office.

He has a long history within the Organisation Forum Train Europe. He started as Secretary General on 1.1.1997 and had held this position for more than twenty years. Many achievements were made during this time, such as:

  • The pan-European shift of the timetable change from summer to December.
  • The introduction of the Pathfinder system (now PCS): this marked the beginning of digitalisation in train path and production planning in Europe.
  • The spin-off of FTE as a legally independent railway organisation of RUs and service companies: this also laid the foundation for the creation of the Association of Infrastructures, RNE.
  • The initiative for the pan-European TTR programme: this is intended to make timetable planning, capacity management and construction planning market-oriented and harmonised across Europe. Peter has accompanied this programme from the beginning as co-leader.

Peter has represented and shaped the organisation for many years. He distinguished himself not only by his professional competence, but also by his outstanding helpfulness and collegiality. As a result, he was always appreciated by members and partners.

The Executive Board and the team colleagues thank Peter sincerely for his dedicated and tireless work for the FTE organisation and thus for better international rail transport in Europe. We wish Peter all the best for his future!
